Tags: #learning-how-to-work I'm not old by any means, but something I've been learning that continually gets reinforced as the years pass is that it is rarely, if ever, the end of the world. In 10th grade, that global history exam I totally bombed? The teacher ended up throwing it out. In college, when my credits didn't end up transferring, or when the only class I needed to complete my intended concentration was canceled, or the other, innumerable moments of panic in which I was certain I wouldn't graduate? I graduated. Postgrad, when I was unemployed and figuring things out for almost 2 years, and had nearly given up hope that I would ever be gainfully employed I'm coming up on my year anniversary at work. I have learned this lesson hundreds of times over at work. So many little problems every week, that initially seem like you won't be able to figure them out, that make you worry that your incompetence will be found out and you'll get fired, but every time? You take a deep breath, you ask questions, you get help if you need it, and you figure it out. Created: September 07, 2021 Last Modified: September 07, 2021
